#1 Bad Boys Comedy Party (formerly Diddy Party) – Edinburgh Fringe Review 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Venue: Bar 50, 11pm | Date: 16 August 2025 | Rating: ★★★★☆

Originally Billed as “Diddy Party,”  This Late-night comedy show was forced into a rebrand after a TikTok video went viral criticising it’s poster which featured an illustration of Sean “Diddy” Combs holding a bottle of baby oil while the rapper faced serious allegations. The Backlash led producers Richy Sheehy and Mark O’Keefe to rename the show to “Bad Boys Comedy Party” and redesign the posters branding. After the controversy the show peaked my interest so I decided to head down myself to watch it.

The show itself is in a compilation format, with both Sheehy and O’Keefe as the driving force behind the night, while the lineup changes daily when I attended the show comedians Paddy Armas, Rachel Morton Young, Josephine Lacey and Michael De Barmon Roach were featured creating a mix of personalities and styles that gave the show an unpredictable edge.

The comedy leaned into dark humour and political bite with references to conspiracy theories, Support for the Epstein files being released and celebrity scandals along with riffs from a more personal standpoint touching base on family dysfunction, bullying, broken homes, having a child with Autism and cheating husbands. There was also a song performed and written by Richy Sheehy himself which was well put together and had the crowd in tears with his comedic timing and lyrics.

Crowd work also played a massive role which made the audience feel included and gave the show a more personal and relatable vibe which fit in well with some parts of the different comics sets.

This is a late-night show so not every joke landed but that’s to be expected and the messiness is part of the appeal. With a new line up each night, no two shows are the same and the mix of chaos, politics and raw comedic energy made “Bad Boys Comedy Party” one of the fringes riskier but more memorable after-hours offerings.
